beautiful way

it's about time i blogged again. it has been an insanely busy month, i cannot even begin to explain the stress i have been feeling. but all in all, i happy with the past month and everything i have accomplished. it feels good to see hard work pay off.
i am in the midst of starting my own photography business, nothing huge, just something to do on the side. i have been taking pictures of upcoming bands and shows, some restaurants trying to build their website, but mostly i have been focusing on my artistic stuff for my personal enjoyment.
additionally i recently began interning at Nineteenth Amendment, y'all should definitely go check out what they are doing. they are revolutionizing the fashion industry a day at a time and i am so inspired to see them fight for what they believe in.
as a start-up, they could use all the support they can get so please check them out!
Nineteenth Amendment
this past month has been filled with shoot after shoot. my career as a stylist is taking off, and i hope i never hit a brick wall. i am learning everyday and falling in love with fashion even more than i thought possible. in the realms of fashion, photography, and art--i working harder than i ever have before to get somewhere.
(but who knows, ill probably end up a stay-at-home with nine kids...and i am perfectly content with that).
rather than bore with with the written details of the past 24 days, i would rather show you in pictures. hold on to your seats ladies and gents, and place your finger on that scroll bar.

ALSO, check out some of my work at: fox + revolver photography, like my page if you like what you see!

thanks for sticking around, and i promise i will be posting more frequently for now on!

la grande bellezza

"and those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music"
-friedrich nietzsche

"family quarrels are bitter things. they don't go according to any rules. they're not like aches or wounds, they're more like splits in the skin that won't heal because there's not enough material."

"young love, i feel you know me better than most and in the spite of real distance we'll always be close."
-keaton henson

i'm a girl of many words...to put it simply, i talk a lot.  but i like to think it is because i have a lot to say-- i'm a good listener as well but i enjoy sharing and debating opinions. i love hearing people's conflicting views because it provides a new perspective on how we should see the world. yes there is ignorance in this world, but sometimes ignorance is bliss. i love quotes. i love poetry. i love films. last night was the tenth academy awards in a row where i have cried. i don't know why i cry, i feel so happy for everyone receiving their awards. they must be so happy and their happiness and hard work inspires me-- not to be a movie star but to work hard and do something with my life. they should all be proud. yes, it is easy to say there are so many real heroes in this world that go unnoticed, and that is true. but the men and women who graced the stage last night are heroes in their own way, and i want to thank everyone one of them for that (and their stylists).

i was quite happy to see matthew mcconaughey win, he was spectacular in dallas buyers club. and italy deserved the win with paolo sorrentino's the great beauty. holy moly was that a good film.

my favorite gowns were on olivia wilde (valentino),  emma watson (vera wang), and cate blanchett (giorgio armani). simply gorgeous.

i had a rather enjoyable sunday. helped prep dinner for an oscar party of sorts with the family. we all filled out ballots and my dad, who had only seen one oscar nominated film, managed to guess a whopping 20/24 categories correct. me, having seen all but two of the films, was rather disappointed in myself for getting 15/24 correct.

what i wore:
vintage black velvet maxi dress
jcrew leopard socks
h&m booties
uo camo jacket
goorin bros hat

i've spend much of this past weekend reorganizing myself--planning flights, finishing up projects, apartment searching, and getting through the giant stack of magazines i've neglected which are trapping dust on my nightstand...i'm so sorry anna wintour.

i wish everyone a fantastic week. especially those new englanders who are still lost in the mounds of snow mother nature has so relentlessly provided.
